3.1. Core Competency A - Effective Communication Skills
There are many important factors for the role of BA and PM but I believe that communication skill is one of the most essential factors. This is because it is necessary to successfully lead projects by compromising with internal stakeholders (team members, bosses, managers, etc.) as well as external stakeholders (customers, governments, and all people involved in the project) at the right time. For this, I have strong communication skills based on trust and an honest attitude, and also have a great manner as a leader based on various leadership experiences.
.
3.2. Core Competency B - Multicultural Background
I believe that speaking a language includes not only understanding the language but also understanding the culture. During my seven years in Australia, while I improve my English, I have tried to learn the way of thinking of local people and understand Australian business attitudes. When I was in China and Hong Kong, I made the same effort to learn their languages and understand their cultures as well. Those opportunities to be exposed to various cultures have developed my ability to adapt to a wider variety of environments, as a result, it has allowed me to adapt to a wider variety of corporate cultures as well.
.
3.3. Core Competency C - An Idea-Hamster
I notice that the main difference between the ingenious idea and the ordinary point of view is, the deviation of the angle of view about the phenomenon. I like this quote "The glass is HALF-FULL or HALF-EMPTY" the most as this quote can be a representative example of explaining the difference in perspective. Through various leadership experiences (the residence of Korean Postgraduate students at ANU in Australia, the student president of the department in my bachelor's degree in Korea, and the president of a Chinese language learning club in Korea) and volunteer experiences (Web Admin of Korean Association in Darwin, and delivering IT classes to the Korean elderly people in Australia), I could face various difficulties to hold many events, however, my team and I could achieve successful outcomes by thinking out of the box.
Please feel free to contact me.
Let's have a coffee chat if you're in Korea! :D
Regards,
Hyejung Hwang
